The Role

What you'll be doing

  • Own patient care for your assigned service line, using your clinical judgment to guide the team day to day.
  • Make sure your service line has 24/7 coverage, including naming an alternate lead when you're out.
  • Work side by side with nursing staff and Certified Surgical Technologists, and act as the go-to person for surgeons, anesthesia, and clinic staff.
  • Keep equipment, instruments, and supplies running and ready, and handle repairs before they become a problem.
  • Stay on top of regulatory compliance and audits, and train staff so the whole team meets the standard.
  • Split your time between the OR floor (about 80%) and the administrative side of running a service line (about 20%).

What you'll bring

This role is built for an experienced OR nurse who's ready to lead. Here's what we need on day one.

Education Associate Degree in Nursing required. A BSN is strongly preferred.
Experience 2 or more years as a Registered Nurse. Previous experience in your specialty area is preferred.
Licensure Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Certifications Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) provider card required.
ACLS Certification is required for the following areas: All Critical Care, Emergency Care Center (ECC), GI/Cath Lab, Labor & Delivery, All Intermediate Care, and Post Acute Care Unit (PACU). New grads have 90 days from their start date to get certified.
