Why I Practice at Grady

Joya Reasor, MD

Hear directly from a Grady physician about the patients, the team, and what practicing here actually looks like day to day.

Why Providers Stay

Six reasons this
practice holds people.

Not perks. The things our physicians and advanced practice providers actually name when asked why they're still here.

01

Clinical Complexity

The acuity and diversity of our patient population will stretch your practice in ways few health systems can. You will see what you trained to see.

02

True Team-Based Care

Physicians, APPs, nursing, and support staff practicing together — with advanced practice providers working autonomously and in collaboration, not in someone's shadow.

03

Equity in Practice

A collaborative environment built on safety, compassion, and equity — for every resident of Atlanta who walks through our doors.

04

Hospital and Clinic Settings

From our main campus to neighborhood outpatient centers across the city, there's a practice setting that fits the career and the life you're building.

05

Scope That Grows

Direct patient and family care, consultation, research, community advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership development.

06

Continuity That Counts

In our outpatient centers, you follow patients over years — the kind of relationship that is the whole point of primary care.

Physicians at Grady Health System
Outpatient & Primary Care

Care rooted in the neighborhood.

Our outpatient centers bring Grady care directly into Atlanta's communities. As a Primary Care Physician at Grady, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care to a diverse community, reporting to an on-site Medical Director.

You'll contribute directly to Grady's mission of providing exceptional healthcare to all residents of Atlanta — in a setting where continuity of care is the whole point.

Advanced Practice Providers

Autonomy, with a team behind you.

Our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants perform comprehensive assessments, diagnose, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory testing, and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.

You'll practice autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals — in a role that spans direct patient and family care, consultation, research, advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership.
